The Residential Specialist is responsible for housing coordination, safety and compliance as they apply to Volunteers of America of Florida residents.

Credentials, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years’ experience or High School Diploma and 4 years’ experience in related field.Fulfill credentialing requirements per agency policy.

Must take and successfully complete Housing Management Professional Designation courses as required by property funders.

Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with the public, participants and their families.

Administrative self-sufficiency including basic knowledge of database programs and data entry.

Possess valid driver’s license and safe driving record.Must meet insurability standards in order to drive.

Must have vehicle to facilitate securing housing for participants.
Essential Functions

Assist team with determining prospective resident’s eligibility.Coordinate timely housing placements and ensure 100% occupancy.

Ensure that properties and vehicles are maintained in superior condition.Implement an effective work order system; complete quality reviews, drills and safety checks.

Perform certifications and reports as required by funder and agency policy in a timely manner.Prepare for and obtain excellent results on funder’s monitorings.

Ensure financial stability by collecting and depositing timely payments by residents.Insure that house rules and leases are being enforced. Coordinate evictions when necessary.

Mentor Support Aide I’s to fulfill responsibilities.Provide on-site coverage as assigned
Normal Working Hours and Conditions
- 40 hour workweek.
- Weekends or evenings as required.
- Some travel may be required.
Rate of Pay:
This is a salary position with an annualized starting salary of 32,600.00.
