Program Specialist II HVRP Cocoa

Job Summary:

The HVRP Program Specialist II is responsible for daily oversight of assigned center/program to ensure that it operates safely and in accordance with contracts and agency policy. The Program Specialist II will supervise, coach and mentor assigned staff.

Credentials, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, supervisory experience plus 1 year of experience working with special needs population. High School Diploma and 2 years relevant experience is allowed in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree. 

  • For HVRP a formerly homeless veteran is preferred.

  • Fulfill credentialing requirements per agency policy.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Administrative self-sufficiency including computer proficiency.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and safe driving record.Must meet insurability standards in order to drive.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the implementation of assigned programs. Participate in planning, development, and implementation of program procedures and plans. Provide staff training and schedule coordination to ensure proper center coverage.

  • Continuously improve standards and services including donation drives and special events for the TEE center/program. Provide counseling/crisis management as needed.

  • Facilitate training sessions on topics related to the center and participants’ Treatment/Life and/or employment needs.

  • Screen prospective candidates as assigned.Pro-actively identify participant member’s educational, vocational or employment needs including community support.Coordinate transportation logistics and transport participants as needed.

  • Maintain documentation of all face-to-face and/or phone contacts with participant members as applicable.

Normal Working Hours and Conditions:

  • A 40 hour workweek.
  • Occasional weekend or evening as required.
  • Some travel may be required.

Rate of Pay:
This is a salary position with an entry level annualized salary of $34,600 per year.
